Biography of Li Song

Li Song, deputy director-general of Chinese Foreign Ministry's Department of Arms Control.

Li Song graduated from the Foreign Affairs University in 1992 and began his diplomatic career soon after when he joined the Foreign Ministry.

He worked in the ministry's department of International Organization and Conference and the department of Arms Control.

Li also worked at the Chinese mission in Geneva and the Permanent Mission of China to the United Nations.

Li Song now works as deputy director-general of the ministry's Department of Arms Control.

A senior diplomat, Li participated in many important multilateral and bilateral meetings involving affairs of arms control and disarmament treaties.
