Hu receives credentials from new ambassadors

BEIJING- Chinese President Hu Jintao Tuesday received credentials presented by new ambassadors from Turkmenistan, France, Spain and Sierra Leone.

Those ambassadors are Grubannazar Nazarov from Turkmenistan, who once worked in China as an energy expert, and Sylvie Bermann, the first Chinese-fluent female French ambassador.

Diplomatic representatives Eugenio Bregolat-Obiols, who is in his third tenure as Spanish ambassador to China, and Joseph M. Koroma from West Africa's Sierra Leone were also recognized.

Following the receiving ceremony, President Hu briefly spoke with the ambassadors at the Great Hall of the People in downtown Beijing.
