Fishermen recover ROK boat in waters off E China

HANGZHOU - Fishermen on two boats in East China's Zhejiang province have recovered a Republic of Korea fishing boat, and no crew members were found onboard, border authorities said Sunday.

The boat was salvaged at around 10 am Thursday at 26 degrees north latitude and 124 degrees east longitude in the East China Sea. No bodies were found in the waters nearby, according to a spokesman from the border department of Taizhou city, Zhejiang province.

It took more than 70 hours for the Chinese boats to drag the capsized boat to the Kanmen Port of the city's Yuhuan County at 3 pm Sunday, the spokesman said.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
