China, Japan, S. Korea to hold high-level meeting

SEOUL - South Korea, China and Japan will hold high-level talks later this week to discuss three-way cooperation and other events, the foreign ministry here said Monday.

The talks, to be held in Tokyo on Wednesday, will be joined by Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Jae-shin of South Korea, Deputy Foreign Minister Koro Bessho of Japan and Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Zhenmin, according to the ministry.

In the sixth meeting since the talks were launched in 2007, officials will discuss preparation for a trilateral summit and a meeting among foreign ministers from the three countries, according to the ministry.
