The number of faulty convictions in China last year accounted for 11,669 cases, 0.18 percent of all retrials, said China's chief justice Wang Shengjun, president of the Supreme People's Court (SPC), who delivered a report on the work of the SPC Thursday afternoon to the Third Session of the 11th National People's Congress.

The cases discovered with errors were reviewed and re-sentenced.
