Theme: Food Breeds the City

Location: Within Zone C of the Expo Site

Pavilion Features

The pavilion adopts two of the most important architecture materials among Peruvian history: bamboo and soil. Exterior of the pavilion is decorated with bamboo rods, which allow the sunshine to pass through the gaps. The interior displays the diversified cooking traditions of Peru and how they have made great contributions to world cuisine. The transformation of cities through time is also showcased.

Pavilion Highlights

Highlight 1: Peruvian Cuisine

Peru will build a restaurant in its pavilion to showcase Peruvian cuisine, one of the most diverse in the world, with flavors of French, Chinese and Indian cuisines.

Highlight 2: Charms of Peru

Charms of Peru will be displayed with multimedia tools including videos and images. Visitors can appreciate famous historical and cultural heritages of Peru, such as the ancient Inca city of Machu Picchu in Cuzco.
