Shanghai urban management and law enforcement authorities confiscated about 4,000 bogus Expo 2010 products last month in an intense crackdown against Expo products without licenses.

The drive was launched to mark the fifth anniversary of the enactment of the regulation for Expo emblem intellectual property rights protection and regulate the market.

About 23,000 staff swooped on shopping malls and 27,000 roads to clear street vendors selling counterfeit Expo products.
