Installation of solar energy systems and power stations for the China Pavilion and Theme Pavilion has been completed recently and the system will be connected to the state grid.

The project, which uses building integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) technology, will generate clean energy for the Expo site.

Panels have been installed on the roofs and outer walls to collect sunlight and convert the energy into electricity.

The 302-kilowatt solar systems are mainly installed on the China Pavilion’s 68-meter platform and its 60-meter sightseeing platform.

The solar panels on the Theme Pavilion cover 26,000 square meters of roof space. All designs use Chinese technology.
