BEIJING - The Beihai Fleet of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy will conduct a live-ammunition drill in the Yellow Sea from September 1 to 4, China's Ministry of National Defense announced Sunday.

The exercises will be held in the fleet's routine training sea area off the southeast coast of Qingdao city, where the Fleet is headquartered, said the ministry in a statement.

This is an annual routine training, mainly involving the shooting of shipboard artillery, said the statement.
