President Hu to visit central Asia for SCO summit

BEIJING -- Chinese President Hu Jintao will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan from June 9 to 12 , and will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in the Uzbek capital of Tashkent.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu made the announcement here Thursday at a regular press briefing.
