Chinese state councilor attends BRIC meeting on security issues

BRASILIA - Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo on Thursday attended the second meeting of BRIC senior representatives on security issues and exchanged views on cooperation with his counterparts within the organization.

Dai, who accompanies Chinese President Hu Jintao to attend a Thursday summit of BRIC nations (Brazil, Russia, India and China), met senior representatives on security issues from the other three countries to discuss the international situation and cooperation within the four nations.

The next meeting of BRIC senior representatives on security issues will be held in China.
