Relations had maintained stable development since the establishment of ties in April 3, 1995, and the Chinese government respected Bosnia and Herzegovina's sovereignty, territorial integrity and way of development, said Chen Haosu, president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, which hosted the reception.

He said China always regarded Bosnia and Herzegovina as a trustworthy friend and partner and it was in the fundamental interests of the two peoples to consolidate cooperation and carry out exchanges.

Amel Kovacevic, ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to China, said Bosnia and Herzegovina would enhance political trust with China, expand cooperation and encourage Chinese people and companies to invest there.

He hoped the two countries would contribute to the continued development of bilateral relations.
