Four Chinese ambassadors are to take up new posts following a reshuffle, Chinanews.com.cn reported Tuesday.
Fu Ying wrapped up her service as the Chinese Ambassador to Britain with a farewell ceremony on January 26. The ethnic Mongol diplomat was appointed Vice Foreign Minister early this year.
Fu was joined by Cui Tiankai at the league of Vice Foreign Ministers. On January 26, Cui bid adieu to his post as Chinese Envoy to Japan, which he served for over two years.
Fu’s successor, Liu Xiaoming resigned from his post as Chinese Ambassador to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on the same day.
Cheng Yonghua, Chinese Envoy to the Republic of Korea, is due to resign soon, who Japanese media said was likely to succeed Cui as the new ambassador to Japan.
