Five injured in Jiangxi school stampede

Five students were injured, including one in critical condition, Friday afternoon in a stampede at a school in East China's Jiangxi province, chinanews.com.cn reported earlier Today.

The accident happened at around 16:00 pm at the Experimental Primary School in Yugan County, Jiangxi province, said a witness. Students who finished an exam went downstairs when one of them toppled and caused dozens of others to lose balance.

The five injured students were sent to the hospital.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
