The Green Guidelines for the Shanghai Expo 2010, jointly issued by the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo and UNESCO, detail what participants, operators and visitors can do to ensure that the Expo is an environmentally friendly event.
The media registration center at Shanghai World Expo is dealing with an avalanche of application forms. Until Wednesday, it has received approximately 13,000 forms, with 589 overseas media, China News Service reports.
International delegations arriving in Shanghai for the upcoming World Expo would be entitled to special passage for swift border inspection as the metropolis gears up for the final run-up to the international event, the Xinhua News Agency reported.
Around 100 Chinese handicapped people, including 15 who survived the 8.0-magnitude earthquake on May 12, 2008 in southwestern China's Sichuan Province, would be invited to visit France Pavilion for the World Expo 2010.
