An Expo-themed forum backed the creation of a 'gold bank bloc' along the Yellow River.

The forum was held on September 10 in China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, where the river helps economy and trade prosper.
The bloc includes 10 Ningxia cities along the river and a blueprint has been worked out to develop these cities.
Experts highlighted the significance of maintaining ecological balance while expanding progress.
Zhou Hanmin, deputy director of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai Executive Committee, elaborated on the 158-year history of world expositions, China's competence in bidding to host the Expo, and updated the forum on challenges and the progress of Expo preparations.
