Construction started on September 18, 2009 on Republic of Korea's Joint-Corporate Pavilion for the Expo 2010 Shanghai China.

The ROK Joint-Corporate Pavilion is being built by 12 South Korean companies, including Samsung, E-mart and LG and the theme of the pavilion is "Green City, Green Life".

The 3,000-square-meter pavilion is a cube with spirals.

The design is inspired by the skirts of a dancing ROK woman wearing traditional costume.
