China's longest sea-crossing bridge in trial run

A car runs past Shuangqiao toll station of the Zhoushan Sea-crossing Bridge in Zhoushan, east China's Zhejiang Province, December 26, 2009. Costing 13.1 billion yuan (US$1.9 billion), the 46.5-kilometer Zhoushan Sea-crossing Bridge, so far the longest of its kind in the country, has been completed after 10 years of construction since Sept. 1999. The sea-crossing bridge linking Zhoushan City, China's only city of more than 1,000 islands, went into trial operation on Friday. [Xinhua]
