Cold front heading for north China

A cold snap and temperature drop is moving towards north China, according to the Central Meteorological Observatory.

The north part of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, mid-east part of northwest China, the north and northeast parts of China, as well as the Yellow River and Huai River basin will be hit with a 4 to 6 C-strong breeze and a drop in temperature of 4 to 8 C, people.com.cn reported Thursday.

The mid-east part of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, north Hebei province and northeast China will see the temperature fall to between 10 and 12 C.

Snow is also expected in the north part of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, the mid-east part of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, northeast Hebei and northeast China, with heavy snow forecast for the mid-east part of northeast China.
