Man locks wife at home before divorce hearing

A man locked his wife at home so that she couldn't attend their divorce hearing in a court in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu province.
On Nov 16, Wu phoned her lawyer, saying her husband, Wei, who did not want to go ahead with the divorce, had locked her in their house.
Wei told the judge he knew he shouldn't have locked his wife up, but he loved her a lot and didn't want her to leave him.
Wei said the only reason Wu wanted to leave him was because his salary was low.
The court did not grant the couple a divorce.
