Retired director of education may face jail for power abuse

Feng Yunsheng, retired director of education in Wu'an city, Hebei province, may spend time behind bars after asking officials in his department to transfer 150 rural teachers to Wu'an in August 2009, according to the recent report by the Wuhan Evening News.
The Wu'an authorities investigated the case and found Feng had abused his former position. No evidence of bribery was found, however.
Handan authorities reportedly approved Feng's arrest on October 29. The case is still under review.
