73 foreigners visit CAS institutes

73 foreign visitors stepped into nine research institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing's Chaoyang district Thursday afternoon.

In "Approaching Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS)" celebrating the 60th anniversary of the founding of CAS, the president Lu Yongxiang said the CAS has made many great achievements in scientific research and applications including Chang'E 1 Lunar exploration back to 2007.

"China's scientific researches and achievements are really impressive, especially exploration into outer space in which France has much cooperation with China," Isabelle Morelon, commissioner for science and technology of French Embassy to China said after visiting the National Astronomical Observatory of China.

Foreign visitors will be invited for another trip to CAS institutes in Shanghai and Hefei, Anhui province and also the well-established University of Science and Technology of China.
