A van lost control and rolled off a bridge into the Yinma River of Dehui, Jilin province, Wednesday, killing six and injuring one, xinhuanet.com reported.

Two police officers came to the rescue immediately and saved one passenger. The van was later retrieved, but the other six people had died.

The Yinma River Bridge, which extends 200 meters, was reportedly icy as a result of the cold weather, which may have caused the accident, according to reports.
