A young couple in Dongguan, Guangdong province got their divorce fast-tracked because they never lived together after tying the knot three years ago.

The duo, named Ma and Mo, took less than an hour to complete all the requisite procedures for divorce in the city's Machong district because they do not have children and do not own common properties.

Both were born in 1980s and their marriage was arranged by both their parents who are very good friends.

But the two never even tried to contact each other after they married in April 2006. Ma left home for work after his wedding ceremony.

Both their parents had to agree to the divorce when they found the young couple's plight for the past three years.
