Drunken cabbie takes time out at the lights

A drunken woman taxi driver was caught red-handed dozing off at a road junction in Hohhot, capital of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, causing traffic to pile up behind her.

The intoxicated cabbie slept through two green lights on Thursday.

A police officer who first thought the cabbie's vehicle had broken down went up to her to see if she needed any help.

The driver sobered up and tried to make a run for it, but struck the cop down and even managed to push him forward 3 m with her side mirror until another cop stopped her. The driver was later found to have an extremely high blood-alcohol level.
