President Hu meets Singaporean prime minister

SINGAPORE: President Hu Jintao will hold talks with Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at 10:30 Thursday morning. The two leaders will then attend an agreement signing ceremony.

The Chinese president started his official visit to this city state Wednesday evening, after concluding a trip to neighboring Malaysia. It is the first time for a Chinese head of state to visit the two Asian countries in 15 years.

Hu will also attend an Asian-Pacific summit in Singapore over the weekend.
