Strong earthquake rocks NW China

A 5.1-magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale struck Haixi Mongolian-Tibetan autonomous prefecture in nouthwest China's Qinghai province Thursday morning. No casualties have been reported, xinhuanet.com reported.

The epicenter was 6 kilometers underground, according to the China Earthquake Network Center.
