China’s General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP) has suspended approval for Shanghai EaseNet to operate the cyber game WOW (World of Warcraft). The company is facing an administrative penalty for infringement, qq.com reported.

A high level official from GAPP said the NetEase affiliate company charged users without authorization and accepted registration of new users since September 19 without administrative permission.

As the complicated data pack, which is imported, may violate customers’ interest once it is converted, the GAPP had ordered a testing period starting from July 30. The company acknowledged the order previously.

The company’s Internet service is also said to face getting cut off.
