Housing resale numbers slide 24%

Prices and sales for resold homes both fell in October in Beijing, the Beijing Morning Post reported today, citing data from www.bjfdc.gov.cn, Beijing’s official real estate transaction information website.

In October, a total of 20,866 apartments were resold in Beijing, down 24.22 percent from September. Among them, 20,011 were homes. This meant a 24.24 percent decrease in home sales, compared with September.

The average price for resold apartments in October in Beijing fell 1.65 percent, to 11,920 yuan ($1745.7) per sq m, compared with September.
