Man stuck in lift phones wife for help

A resident of Dongguan, Guangdong province, was worried sick after getting a phone call from her husband who told her he had been stuck in a Guangzhou hotel lift for about an hour.

Qi, the woman, looked up the hotel's phone number on the Internet and told the staff her husband was stuck in their lift. The hotel staff called in the maintenance staff to fix the lift.

Zhao said the first thing that occurred to him when he realized he was stuck in the lift was to call his wife. "I should have actually phoned the police," he said.
