One dies as villagers clash in east China

LINGXIAN, Shandong Province: Police were attempting to appease more than 100 villagers Friday in east China's Shandong Province after one died Wednesday in a clash over land dispute, local police said.

The clash occurred between weapon-wielding residents of Fujia and Baiji villages. A person from Baiji Village died from heart attack in the clash, an officer with the Public Security Bureau of Lingxian County said.
