China has confiscated 810 million yuan ($118.6 million) in fake notes since the launching of a special campaign against fake note crimes from Jan 20, 2009, twice the total value of 2008, the Legal Daily reported Wednesday, citing data from the Ministry of Public Security (MPS).

Zhang Tao, an MPS official said that the situation of fake note crimes in China is still severe.
