Road accident kills 5, injures 3 in E China

HANGZHOU: Five people were confirmed dead and three others injured in a collision between a mini-bus and a car on Sunday in Haining City, east China's Zhejiang Province, according to police.

The mini-bus with seven seats carried nine people. All the fatalities, two men and three women, were the bus passengers. None of the four people in the car was injured.

The accident happened at 11:22 am Sunday on Hangzhouwan Road, Haining. Police have detained the drivers and are investigating the cause of the accident.

The bus was registered in neighboring Jiangsu Province. The two male victims have been identified as residents in central China's Henan Province. The injured have been sent to nearby hospital.
