Woman faints on street after kids cancel visit

A 71-year-old woman in Tianjin municipality left her home and passed out on a city street after learning that her two kids, who work in another city, would not be visiting her during the week-long National Day holiday.

Police officials found the woman lying unconscious on the street and rushed her to a hospital, where she is slowly recuperating.

The woman told officers her children rarely visited her, and had promised to drop in over the National Day holidays.

"I had prepared their favorite dishes, but they canceled at the last minute," the woman said.
