Tourists missing offshore in E China

XIAMEN: Rescuers were still searching for two tourists who were missing amid strong wind and high waves near an offshore island of eastern Fujian Province on Saturday.

According to local authorities of Nan'an city, which administers the Dabai Island, five tourists were swimming amid strong wind and high waves near the island Saturday morning, and lost contact around 10 am.

Nan'an frontier and maritime affairs departments immediately sent a rescue team to the site and rescued three of them mid-Saturday.
