(China Daily)
Updated: 2009-08-31 10:33 A Beijing man who sold his mother's car to get money to gamble while she was hospitalized exchanged it back with a false bankbook. He sold the car to a man surnamed Chen in June. But right before his mother was about to be discharged, he gave Chen a bankbook, which showed he had 640,000 yuan ($93,670) in his account, in return for the car. Chen soon discovered the bankbook was fake and phoned police, who arrested the accused and charged him with fraud. (Beijing Times) |
