Father gets verbal beating for locking daughter in car

Passers-by berated a father for refusing to smash his car window after he had locked his 3-year-old girl in the car in Dongguan, Guangdong province, last Tuesday.

The girl was found soaked in sweat after the father had been gone for about 20 minutes to find help from a nearby autobody garage.

Onlookers said they would have broken the car's window to rescue the girl. It was uncertain what their actions might have been had it been their own car.
