Convict plumps up and nearly avoids police

An escaped convict fattened himself up to change his appearance but still landed in the hands of police officers after he allegedly stole some electric vehicles in Anyang of Henan province last Tuesday.

The convict, surnamed Qu An, busted out of prison a month ago and gained more than 15 kg. Police said they almost didn't recognize Qu when they detained him recently.
