Man blames subway rider for theft due to his looks

In a case of facial profiling, a subway passenger forcibly took another passenger to a subway police station in Shaoguan, Guangdong province, because he "looked like a pickpocket."

The "thief" was compensated 100 yuan ($15) last week.

The accusing passenger, surnamed Zhou, blamed a man surnamed Chen for stealing his mobile phone because of the way he just looked. Zhou found the phone in his bag and publicly apologized.
