Man robs his way into the heart of close friend

A man who didn't have enough cash to buy a wedding gift for a close friend resorted to what he thought was the best solution: robbery.

The unnamed man was slated to attend the friend's wedding ceremony in Dalian, Liaoning province, this month.

To accrue enough cash for the gift, he committed two robberies brandishing a knife during his travels from his hometown in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region to Dalian. He raked in a whopping 100 yuan ($14.62). He was captured by police officers last Thursday during his second robbery.
