Woman sues runaway husband for 50,000 yuan

A man in Zhejiang province fled a night before his wedding banquet, months after the legal ceremony, only to return three days later to confess his love for another girl.

Sun Yu and Wei Ying had been together for about eight years, and in May registered their marriage.

But a day before the wedding reception, Sun vanished without telling anyone. But he returned three days later to explain why.

Wei has now dragged Sun to court demanding not just a divorce but 50,000 yuan ($7,319) too for causing her "mental distress".
