Archer, 14, shoots teammate to death

A 14-year-old archer shot an arrow at his teammate, killing him on the spot, after a quarrel during a training session in Changchun, Jilin province, last Wednesday.

The boy, who has been arrested, shot his teammate in the throat with a metal arrowhead at a sports school.

He said he shot the arrow in a fit of rage but did not intend to kill his teammate.

The case is under investigation.
