Woman prepays 15,000 yuan on phone by mistake

A woman in Shanghai by mistake prepaid her cell phone bill worth a staggering 15,000 yuan ($2,196), which means she wouldn't have to recharge her phone for about 63 years.

Last month, Zhang's children purchased 16 prepaid phone cards, each valued at 1,000 yuan.

Last Friday, Zhang, sitting idle at home, charged her cell phone using all the prepaid cards, not realizing she can't retransfer the money back to the cards.

Zhang said she never makes more than 20 yuan worth of calls from her phone each month.
