A paranoid Chongqing woman's idea of keeping burglars away has begun to infuriate her neighbors.

She leaves her music on at full volume through the night.

Last Thursday, neighbors gathered outside Wang's house and knocked on her door, only to realize she wasn't even at home.

When Wang returned home, she told the sleepy crowd parked outside her door that she worked nights and was afraid someone might break into her house.

"That's why the music, you see. It even fooled you," she said.
