Technical snag makes man super-rich for a day

A resident of Pingdingshan, Henan province, became a billionaire overnight playing the stocks, only to realize a day later it was a mistake.

Liu, 26, found his stock account increased by 200 million yuan ($29.3 million) at 9 am on Saturday.

The figure remained unchanged for the next 20 hours till a securities agency spotted the error, which occurred due to a technical snag.

Liu said he wanted to but didn't withdraw the money for fear of violating the law.
