Satellite malfunction disrupts TV programs

Updated: 2009-07-14 13:32 Transmission of some satellite TV channels in China was interrupted Monday evening due to technical problems, media reported early Tuesday.
China Direct Broadcast Satellite Co Ltd (China DBSAT), which operates the Sinosat-3, confirmed the satellite malfunction, saying there were some technical glitches in Sinosat-3, which are being repaired. China DBSAT said the satellite is expected to resume normal operations Tuesday. China Central Television (CCTV) said all programs of provincial TV stations transmitted by Sinosat-3 are now being telecast via Zhongxing 6B satellite. |
