Farmers want relief from wild monkeys

Farmers in Jialong village, Leye county, the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, are seeking media help to get rid of the growing number of protected wild macaques that are stealing their corn and fruits.

Villager Yang Zaituan said they are not allowed to hunt them as they're currently under the State's strict protection.

Yang said the number of wild macaques has been on the rise in recent years thanks to the improving environment provided by villagers.
