Father's body languishes as daughters haggle

The body of an elderly man has been languishing in a funeral home in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, for nearly a month because his two daughters are haggling over his belongings.

Yu, 85, died last month and left a house and lots of money in the bank.

The two women are fighting over the money and have asked the funeral home to keep the body until they settle their differences.

Bodies are permitted to remain in a funeral home for seven days, according to Shaoxing laws. The funeral home went to court to request that the body be cremated without the two women's permission.
