Young swimmers using water bottles in river

Visitors to the Nanchang Bridge in Nanchang, Jiangxi province, say they are seeing more and more children using water bottles as life buoys when they swim in the Ganjiang river.

They are emulating adult swimmers in the river. Some adults tend to fasten mineral water bottles on their backs to save energy when swimming.

Some say children need to be supervised since the bottles can break away, leading to danger.
