Wildcat attack on infant 23 years ago ends in court

A Beijing woman who was attacked by a wildcat when she was just an infant, successfully sued the hospital where the incident occurred, and won 190,000 yuan ($27,785) in compensation.

Now 23, she was just two months old when she went into the hospital for a fever in 1986. The cat bit off her nose while she slept.

She's had four plastic surgery operations to repair her face with little result. She's lost her job and doesn't like to go outside, she said.

She sued for 1.05 million yuan but got 190,000 yuan on Thursday.
